This is the largest tour ever done by Global Ice, in fact... it created Global Ice. This was a mainly unplanned tour starting with a flight from Canada to the Netherlands with a one way ticket. It was a mix of skating meetups and events (including my 1st Freestyle event ever) and traveling, exploring cultures and amazing sights.
October 2016 - Starting in the capital of Amsterdam, seeing the canals and sights that are so iconic. With only a few days in each location we traveled to the Hauge, to see the coast, Rotterdam and the windmills. Even though it was fall and the tulips weren't out, seeing the windmills was an iconic sight of the Netherlands.
Out for the first skating session in Warsaw I met a few great Freestylers, and had a great session. After that we explored Krakow and the amazing food and sights Poland had to offer.
Starting in the north as the outdoor rinks finally started opening up.
Hamburg - an amazing city with a unique feel and a great ice rink (Eisport Arena).
Cologne - Incredible cathedral and a very unique rink with 2 floors (Lent Park).
Frankfurt - A business city but with a great outdoor/indoor rink with 4 ice pads (Eisporthalle Frankfurt).
Offenburg - Where I had my 1st ever Freestyle competition (got 11th place).
Munich - Where I go to see my friends, enjoy the great city and skate many rinks. I always have a good time here.

Strasbourg - One of my favorite-looking cities in Europe and such a unique rink (Iceberg).
Nice - Time to warm up a bit on the Mediterranean (no skating).

This was my first time ever in Asia. I met one of the biggest Freestylers at the time (Jay - Xeo Lifestyle) and he invited me to go to Malaysia. He planned the whole way with locals and it was an adventure of a lifetime. Such a change of culture and the heat was intense. Despite the heat though, they had rinks and Freestylers.
While in Malaysia we had to visit the luxurious Singapore. It was only a 3 or 4 hour bus ride away from Kuala Lumpur, with 2 ice rinks and many Freestylers. It was an amazing time and this place is like no other.
I returned back to Europe and it was cold - very cold. I landed in Budapest and skated its huge famous rink (Varosligeti Mujegpalya). Unfortunately I just missed out on the big meetup here due to visa allowance.
There is a very famous rink in Vienna (Wiener Eistraum) but I was there too early for the full rink to be open yet, but I still got to skate half of it.
Salzburg - Then off towards the Alps in this incredible city at the edge of the mountains and I had only 1 empty ice skating session (RedBull Arena).

As this was turning into a very long tour I took a little break from skating and enjoyed the sights of Italy.
Venice - Such a famous city, I enjoyed getting lost in the maze of streets here.
Cinque Terre - Incredible place with amazing hikes through the vineyards.
Rome - It amazed me how old and preserved this place is. It's definitively a must see.

Back to Asia for an epic adventure all across Thailand. I rented a scooter and rode all over this beautiful country. I found 2 ice rinks and also some Freestylers in Bangkok and Chiang Mai. This was a relaxing month with some incredible food, views and people.

Next was a month out on the island of Taiwan. A really unique culture with amazing night markets, a great Freestyle community and my very first time inline skating (with the Taiwan national slalom team).

You can't visit Asia without going to Japan. The culture and food is so good and I met great friends from Japan in Malaysia and Taiwan, and to explore their home was a gift. I spent over 1 month here in:
Sendai - An amazing place in the north where we saw incredible Sakura trees.
Tokyo - Meetups in outdoor and indoor rinks with amazing Freestylers.
Fuji - The famous ice rink in Fuji-Q amusement park.
Kyoto - Such stunning historic temples and a beautiful city.
Osaka - A very lively place with great community and many things to do.

After 10 months traveling it all came to a close in Hong Kong. I had my last meetups with Freestylers in this amazing place. I really enjoyed the Hong Kong culture and the people were so friendly. We skated the day at Mega Box and ended with my first ever street inline skate through Hong Kong.
This was the first and longest Global Ice tour. Through the community I met and the knowledge they taught me it brought me to become an influencer and to share my journey and knowledge with the Freestyle community. The official beginning of Global Ice happened on this tour in 2017 after a travel with my good friend Jay. He taught me about social media and helped me get my skating influence out there. Also, so many of my friends helped me build my skills and my platform that has grown so much during the years.
Thank you for reading and see you on future tours.
