The first tour that had a group of us all traveling together across southern Europe. Making meetups and creating great memories together and ending at an epic meetup.
3 of us from Toronto flew in directly into a great meetup in Munich. It was a great way to meetup with many of the people that joined us through Europe, a starting point.
We took a beautiful train ride right into the center of the Alps. Stopping in Berchtesgaden, for a couple skates and great food. Also, getting to go to a famous speed track and rink in the mountains (Max Aicher Arena).
Next stop... Vienna and the epic rink at there town hall (Wiener Eistraum). An epic time skating this iconic rink and also the oldest rink in Vienna (Wiener Eislauf-Verein). The group kept growing as another skater joined our tour. It was so great to experience all of this as a group.
Unfortunately the huge Budapest meetup was banned from the main rink (Varosligeti Mujegpalya). We always love coming to this rink but because meetups weren't allowed we had a small group and only a couple sessions here, where we had some fun and great memories. Budapest is always a beautiful city.
Since the Budapest meetup was not happening, our friend (Nagyerdei Korisok) made a new meetup in Debrecen. We had a great time in this rural town of Hungary. From a natural pond to private sessions. We had such a great meetup and great way to end the tour with a bang.
That is it from this quick 2 week tour across the south of Europe. Many incredible sights, great memories and great skating sessions. It was so great to do this full tour with so many great people. The first tour that was planned through multiple skaters and traveling as a group.
Special thanks to (Patrick) from Alpine Ice Freestyle for helping with this tour and joining us.
See you on the next tour!
